Energy saving and economy analysis of surface water source heat pumps for space heating in hot summer and cold winter zone

Presents the heating seasonal performance factor (HSPF) method based on the temperature frequency method. Considering the characteristics of surface water temperature of this heat pump, simplifies the HSPF method by a calculation with daily average water temperatures and outdoor air temperatures instead of hourly temperatures to evaluate the energy saving performance of the surface water source heat pump. Calculates the heating cost of heat pump system by the annual cost method. With a heat pump project as an example, calculates the energy consumption and heating cost per unit building area, and compares with those of air-source heat pump. The results show that the surface water heat pump can reduce energy consumption by 31.5% and annual cost per unit building area by 3.3 yuan/(m2·a) in hot summer and cold winter zone.
